HEALTH AND TRAVEL INSURANCE
Most students are not entitled to publicly funded health services
while in New Zealand unless they are:
A resident or citizen of Australia; or
A national of the United Kingdom in New Zealand; or
If you do not belong to one of these special categories and you receive
medical treatment during your visit, you will be liable for the full
costs of that treatment. All students studying with student visas must have insurance
that will cover the cost of medical treatment in New Zealand for the
duration of your stay in New Zealand. We also strongly recommend that
you obtain insurance to cover your travel to and from New Zealand.
FEE PROTECTION
NZQA registered Education Providers in New Zealand are required,
as part of the NZQA conditions and the Code of Practice published
by the Minister of Education, to have a fee protection policy in
place to safeguard fees paid by students in the unlikely event of:
the financial default of the Education Provider (school)
or loss of NZQA accreditation of the Education Provider (school)
Sheffield School therefore requires ALL students to ensure that
they have adequate insurance - which includes medical and travel.
We can arrange your insurance cover for you through a New Zealand
company experienced in student care. The insurance offered combines
medical and travel at a reasonable rate.
If you would like Sheffield School to arrange your insurance for
you - please contact us and we will send you details
