Refunds
Refunds, which are issued by the authorized independent trustee of the school, will be returned to the person who sent the money to Sheffield English Language School unless agreed otherwise. All discussions concerning conditions of enrolment and cancellations are subject to New Zealand Law. Cancellation made in writing at least 14 days before course commencement will result in full refund of fees. No refund is usually made in the event of cancellation more than 7 days after the commencement of a course. If a student decides to cancel within 7 days of course commencement, he or she is entitled to refund of any fees, including registration fee and agents fees, paid less 10% or $500.-, whichever is the lesser amount paid in NZ dollars at the current exchange rate. In the case of cancellation before you arrive in New Zealand, or if you are not granted a visa to study in New Zealand, Sheffield English Language School will refund all tuition and homestay fees.

Attendance and behaviour:
You are expected to attend all of your classes punctually and behave in a responsible manner at the school and when you are with your homestay family. If your behaviour is detrimental to the school or to other students, you may be suspended or asked to leave the school. In this event, we regret that no tuition fees can be refunded. If you do not meet the minimum attendance requirements (80%), without the written permission of the Principal, the New Zealand Immigration Service will be notified. Unsatisfactory attendance can result in cancellation of a student visa.

Liability and Insurance
At Sheffield School your well-being is our primary concern. However, Sheffield will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury incurred whilst on the school premises school, with a homestay family or on a school tour or excursion. In commencing a course of study at Sheffield School, you will be deemed to have accepted all of our Conditions of Enrolment.. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance for health, travel and fee protection, and we are happy to provide information on policies on request.

Course Cancellation
Course cancellation occurs when a student fails to attend classes for more than two consecutive weeks or completes a notice to withdraw in writing. A student enrolled for a course of study may withdraw from the course by written notice at any time. It is the student's responsibility to confirm their intention to withdraw from a course in writing. Any fees outstanding will remain payable until official notification is received.If a student withdraws prior to the course commencement date then he or she is entitled to a complete refund of any fees paid.
