course concentrates on the four skills of listening, speaking,
reading and writing - vocabulary development, pronunciation,
fluency practice, conversation skills and practice extension
of exam topics(where applicable),structured conversation.

Premier
Intensive courses is Standard (morning) classes PLUS afternoon
options. You do the Premier Standard course for 3 hours
each morning (15 hours per week) and an afternoon option
- English sklii and Conversation for 2 hours each day
(Monday-Thursday).
On Friday afternoon, you can choose 2 hours of self-access
study or computer study with teacher's supervision. Total
study time is 25 hours per week. |

All afternoon options are from 1.15 pm - 3.30 pm (Monday-Thursday)
and Computer hours on Friday.
1. English Skills
Develops reading, writing and listening skills, with an
emphasis on grammar and accuracy. Uses a variety of classroom-based
learning situations. Develops listening and speaking skills,
including pronunciation, with an emphasis on fluency and
the use of practical spoken English. English through Media
(TV, newspapers, magazines, radio); English through Music.
2. Conversation
Focuses on oral communication. Students practice speaking
English through debates, discussions on contemporary
issues, class presentations, telephone conversations,
interviews, and real life dialogues.

Weekend
Activities
SELS runs weekend activities
based on student demand such as: tennis, golf afternoons
and video evenings, soccer, barbecues, picnics and horse
riding etc. Sightseeing and other tours are widely available
in each city from local tour operators. Ask at our reception
for advice. SELS offer(s) to all our courses students
an activity programme every Friday afternoon. The objective
of our activities is to provide students with opportunity
to: Practice their English in a social situation.
Make new friends with people from different countries
and different cultures.

HOLIDAYS
Generally all the courses in the Sheffield school programmes
do not include holidays. However, 12 weeks and less, you may
take up to 2 weeks of holiday, as long as you give our office
at least one week's notice of your intention to take a holiday.
Holidays must be taken as whole-week blocks. We will extend
your course to make allowance for the holidays taken. . Courses
of 12 to 48 weeks, holidays only during specified dates i.e.
public holiday or term break. If you take a holiday by personal
reason during the course, there will be no further extension
of courses
